What is endoderm?
- Chez les végétaux, couche limitante interne de l'écorce des racines, au contact du cylindre central.(Les cellules de l'endoderme sont étroitement soudées entre elles ; l'eau absorbée par les racines les traverse et y subit un contrôle sélectif, de sorte que seule la sève brute atteint les vaisseaux du bois.)
In plants, the inner limiting layer of the root bark, in contact with the central cylinder. (The cells of the endoderm are tightly welded together; the water absorbed by the roots passes through them and undergoes selective control, so that only the raw sap reaches the wood vessels.)
