- In relazione col sign. ordinale di terzo e in seguito ad ellissi di un sostantivo può indicare: la terza classe di una scuola (frequentare la t. media ), la terza marcia nei veicoli a motore (mettere, ingranare la t.) ║ Nella liturgia cattolica, la seconda ora canonica nella recita del breviario.
