- Appareil servant à la distillation, composé d'une chaudière (cucurbite) soumise à chauffage et d'où les vapeurs se dégagent par le chapiteau, puis passent par un col-de-cygne pour gagner le réfrigérant formé par un serpentin refroidi par de l'eau.
