- Formas del pron. dem. en los tres géneros: m., f. y n., y en ambos números: sing. y pl., que designan lo que física o mentalmente está cerca de la persona que habla o representan lo que se acaba de mencionar: quiero este libro de aquí; me lo dijo esta chica.♦ Las formas m. y f. también son adj.: este cuaderno; estas becas. Puede ir pospuesto al sustantivo, si a este le precede un art. determinado, y entonces adquiere matiz despectivo: ¡la niña esta qué pesada es! Las formas m. y f. pueden escribirse con tilde para indicar que son pronombres en contextos ambiguos, p. ej. cuando van delante de formas que pueden ser verbo y sustantivo, aunque este uso es potestativo: ésta rueda. El pron. dem. n. esto nunca lleva tilde y no tiene pl.
Pron shapes. Dem. in all three genres: m., f., and n., and in both numbers: sing. and pl., who designate what is physically or mentally close to the person who speaks or represents what has just been mentioned: I want this book here; this girl told me, ♦ the m. and f. forms are also adj.: this notebook; these scholarships. It can be postponed to the noun, if it is preceded by an art. determined, and then acquires derogatory nuance: the girl is how heavy she is! The m. and f. shapes can be written tilde to indicate that they are pronouns in ambiguous contexts, e.g. when they are in front of forms that can be verb and noun, although this use is power-based: this wheel. The pron. Dem. n. this never wears tilde and has no pl.
