Puede ir pospuesto al sustantivo, si a este le precede un art. determinado, y entonces adquiere matiz despectivo: ¡la niña esta qué pesada es! Las formas m. y f. pueden escribirse con tilde para indicar que son pronombres en contextos ambiguos, p. ej. cuando van delante de formas que pueden ser verbo y sustantivo, aunque este uso es potestativo: ésta rueda. El pron. dem. n. esto nunca lleva tilde y no tiene pl.
