- adj. Que precede en lugar o tiempo.♦ Va seguido de un complemento con la prep. a: el día anterior a su llegada estaba muy nerviosa. A menudo no lleva el complemento explícito: la noche, el chalé anterior. Puede ir precedido de los cuantitativos muy, bastante o poco, pero no de más: su cumpleaños fue bastante anterior a su graduación.
adj. Preceding in place or time. ♦ will followed by a supplement with the prep. a: the day before upon arrival I was very nervous. Often does not carry the explicit complement: overnight, the former chalet. It can be preceded by the quantitative very, long or short, but no more: his birthday was pretty prior to graduation.
