什么是 gaine？
- In sculpture, the lower part of a figure of which the head, with sometimes the bust, is alone carved to represent nature, the remaining portion presenting, as it were, the appearance of a sheath closely enveloping the body, and consequently broader at the shoulders than at the feet.
En sculpture, la partie inférieure d’une figure dont la tête, avec quelquefois le buste, est seule sculptée pour représenter la nature, la partie restante présentant, pour ainsi dire, l’aspect d’un fourreau enveloppant étroitement le corps, et par conséquent plus large aux épaules qu’aux pieds.
