What is collodion?
- A highly flammable, colorless or yellowish syrupy solution of pyroxylin, ether, and alcohol, used as an adhesive to close small wounds and hold surgical dressings, in topical medications, and for making photographic plates.
Solution sirupeuse hautement inflammable, incolore ou jaunâtre de pyroxyline, d’éther et d’alcool, utilisée comme adhésif pour fermer les petites plaies et tenir des pansements chirurgicaux, dans des médicaments topiques et pour fabriquer des plaques photographiques.
