- Any of various similar birds of the family Tyrannidae, found throughout the Americas. Also called tyrant flycatcher.
- Any of various similar birds of the Monarchidae family, found in Asia, Africa, and Australia, or the Ptilogonatidae family, found primarily in Central America.
