A genus of edentates, covered with large, hard, triangular scales, with sharp edges that overlap each other like tiles on a roof. They inhabit the warmest parts of Asia and Africa, and feed on ants. Called also Scaly anteater. See pangolin.
Gènere d'edentats, coberts d'escates grans, dures i triangulars, amb vores afilades que se superposen entre si com teules en un sostre. Habiten les parts més càlides d'Àsia i Àfrica, i s'alimenten de formigues. Anomenat també formiguer escamós. Vegeu pangolí.
