- Ésser viu de sexe masculí: el faisà mascle té la cua més llarga que la femella. S'utilitza darrere dels noms d'animals i de plantes que no varien de gènere.
Being alive of male sex: the male pheasry has the tail longer than the female. It is used behind the names of animals and plants that do not vary in gender.
- Peça allargada que s'introdueix en una altra peça plana i foradada, anomenada femella, amb la qual encaixa: el mascle de l'endoll és la peça que hi ha al final del cable.
Elongated piece that is inserted into another flat and pierced piece, called nut, with which it fits: the male of the plug is the piece at the end of the cable.
