What is Sun?
- (ASTRON). La stella attorno alla quale gravita il sistema di cui fa parte la Terra e che costituisce per questa l’essenziale fonte di energia e quindi di vita (con iniziale maiuscola nell’accezione astronomica, minuscola in espressioni dell’uso comune e figurato): il moto apparente del S. intorno alla Terra la luce del s. con riferimento al moto diurno apparente intorno alla Terra: il s. nasce, tramonta.
